I have developed a deep frustration with Kmart, atleast the one near my home. I have read many bloggers stories about the entire coupon organization/customer service problems at their stores but since I am not a frequent Kmart shopper, I have not experienced many of these. For starters, I don't like being made to feel 'guilty' that I am using coupons and taking advantage of a stores 'coupon promotions'. If they are there for me to use & a store is willing to take them, I then should have the right to use my coupons at my own will as long as what I am doing is legal, right? WRONG at Kmart!
I went in to Kmart earlier this week to use a free $5 giftcard I had for there, when the cashier informed me of doubling my coupons I was ecstatic to say the least. She, the cashier, informed me I could come in every day and use my coupons (up to 5) and get doubles up to $4. Did I fail to mention that she was a manager?
So today, I go to Kmart and use 2 coupons and one of them was the doubled value of $4, this cashier had the nerve to tell me that they are going to be "putting a stop to these double coupons since so many people are abusing them"...Say what?? She also told me that because of all the people using high dollar coupons, they are scared of going out of business! Can you beleive it?! Talk about some fabulous customer service, now I know why so many Kmarts have gone OUT of business. I sure hope my fellow bloggers out there who are using the same deals are not being treated the way I have been treated. I mean afterall, there is a simple solution to all of this: If ya don't want people using coupons, change your policies!! Don't make the couponers of this world feel like they are doing something they should be ashamed of!
